Somehow, I just learned last week about the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square in London. The plinth was built in 1841 but there wasn't money available for the statue that was supposed to go on it. Right now, it's used as a platform for a new piece of contemporary art each year. I'm pretty stoked about the newly-chosen piece for 2013, it's a huge rooster rendered in International Klein Blue! But of course.

Some of our best webcomic-making pals are having an event at the end of January called Webcomics on Ice! If you're in the Easthampton, MA area, you should go play some classic arcade games with some creative folks.

I've started posting about the horror movies I watch. I don't think there's something worth talking about with every movie, and I'm trying to avoid just rehashing the plot and saying whether I liked it or not. But I have entries about how Johnny Depp is a bimbo in Nightmare on Elm Street and one about the great design work in Thirteen Ghosts up now, and there are more to come
