Daily Dinosaur Comics
Dinosaur Comics is a daily webcomic by Ryan North. Just when I think I have him figured out, he surprises me. Some people have written that think the visual repetition is a gimmick, or a gag. I guess I'm tempted to say that these people just aren't "getting it, but that's not really it. These people clearly aren't even *reading* it. Picture watching the same movie again and again, where the dialogue is changed so completely, and with so much skill that you forget that you've seen these images before. Now picture that every day for two years. That's Dinosaur Comics.

Whispered Apologies
Whispered Apologies is a comic that I write with Ryan from Dinosaur Comics. He asked me if I would be interested in writing for a comic where random artists from the internet send in comics and we write the words for them. That seemed like an okay idea to me!

Overcompensating
Overcompensating is a journal comic by Jeff Rowland, who writes WIGU. It is over the top autobiographical fiction like Hunter S Thompson, with a ridiculous sense of the awesome, like a tough guy Frank Miller character played by David Cross. I am not doing it justice with words here. In his comic, Jeff Rowland has a fancy expensive car, and sometimes he gets the girl. He is proof of Jeanette Winterson's statement "There is no autobiography. There is only art and lies."

White Ninja Comics
White Ninja Comics look like they're drawn by high school kids. They're a lot of fun, and so it sneaks up on you when they're brilliant. Look at this. Tell me that isn't amazing. Now, don't get me wrong - I'm JOEY COMEAU FROM THE INTERNET, man, but I would probably cry like a little girl if these fuckers nodded at me in the street.

A lesson is learned
A lesson is learned is something entirely different. The comics each stand alone, and are more like fucked up little modern fairy tales than anything else. The art is engaging and the writing is sharp. If you read it, you might like it. If you don't like it, though, I'm sure that'd be okay too. The use of colour is so strange sometimes. I'm really into it.

The Perry Bible Fellowship
The dude who writes these, Nick, he's a mad scientist. That is all that can be said.

Jessa Crispin's Bookslut Blog
I read this blog daily. Jessa and Michael are smart and wicked harsh when they feel like it. This is a blog about book news. Sometimes they cuss and make jokes. This is enjoyable to me. I also read the Lit blog from the Complete Review every day, but they're not as feisty. FEISTY.

Mike Saturday Lecky, Clothier
This is my friend Mike Saturday Lecky, who designs shirts and travels all over the place racking up warrants. We bought rail passes and wandered the united states for a month, and it was a very good time. I bought the WHO THE FUCK STOLE MY BIKE shirt on this site and I paid for it. I paid for it full price, not because he's a cheap fuck - he isn't - but because if he doesn't raise $250 to pay off a fine he will be doing less well. I don't think they'll extradite from Canada over chump change, but the dude doesn't go ten days without drinking on some roof, or getting harrassed by cops for lying face down on the street. If they run his name and he's got some warrant out on him, probably he'll not do so well. Some people are too pretty for prison. Mike isn't. Fuck no, but he is mos' def' too delicate for prison. He is a delicate flower, no matter which side of the road he is on.

Warren Ellis
Warren Ellis is a crazy motherfucker. He's got this one cane with a metal snake head on it - and the snake has one of its fangs busted off. How did the fang break off? I am guessing that it broke off inside somebody. Warren Ellis writes for the funny pages, or something. That's a cover. He does that so women will send him dirty pictures of themselves on the internet. He believes that webcomics are the new small press. Webcomics are the future in general.
